Module Aims

To enable the student to critically analyse and evaluate the process of Quality Improvement in a healthcare setting.

Content Summary

This module will explore Quality Improvement processes in line with principles outlined by Improvement Cymru. The student will identify quality improvement opportunities within the student’s workplace and become familiar with, and practice QI methodology. Other themes such as barriers to improvement, leadership, management and teamwork will be explored and analysed. Systematic and coordinated approaches to problem solving using specific methods and tools with the aim of bringing about a measurable improvement will also be explored.
