Module Aims

To develop a student's ability to integrate the skills and knowledge they have acquired during the course to produce a practical solution to a realistic problem.

To understand and apply appropriate legal, ethical, social and professional standards to all aspects of work undertaken.

Content Summary

  • The student will be expected to identify a realistic, practical problem and to plan and manage its solution.
  • A project plan will be developed which will be used throughout the life of the project.
  • The project will be specified, a solution designed and the project implemented.
  • The completed project will be demonstrated and the student expected to critically evaluate the project.
  • Note - The identified problem MUST be appropriate to the award being studied.
  • A variety of teaching and learning methods will be used, but the emphasis is very much upon personal study, application of knowledge and personal initiative.
