Module Aims
This module explores the theory and practical application of complex world of supply chain’s and their management. The module look at how supply chain’s operate on a global scale. It will cover the issues of risk and vulnerability within supply chains. The module will cover performance measurement and management of supply chains as well as looking at corporate social responsibility and the impact this has on this has on Supply Chain management. It aims to prepare students to enter organisational life with an understanding of the strategic issues surrounding the practice of Global Supply Chain Management while focusing on the core requirement of managing and demonstrating corporate social responsibility and assessment of risk .
Students will achieve this through a thorough understanding of the theoretical background to global supply chain management with an emphasis of corporate social responsibility and risk management, and develop detailed knowledge of the current frameworks and models in the field. At the same time students will gain practical knowledge of a variety of examples of the practice of corporate social responsibility and risk mitigation as an aspect of organisational activities

Supply Chain Management forms an integral & important part of the undergraduate programme. Understanding the concepts is essential for any business. \\r
• Identifying and analysing the key organisational factors that contribute to supply chain management and the impact it will have on organisational management and risk mitigation\\r
• Identifying and analysing the key inter-organisational risk and responsibility factors that contributes to effective performance of supply chain’s. With emphasis on comparing the academic theory against the ‘real-world’ environment. \\r
Explore the issues associated with ethical and sustainable supply chain management and the strategic impact this has. \\r
