Module Aims

To develop advanced knowledge and skills necessary to identify, assess and effectively manage safeguarding issues involving individuals, families and communities within an inter-agency framework.

To critically analyse and synthesise existing knowledge of the legislative and ethical frameworks relating to vulnerable groups and the rights of society to protection

LO3 To critically analyse the multifaceted contribution of the specialist community public health nurse to collaborative approaches in managing protection cases.
LO4 The student will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the NMC and NOS standards relating to SCPHN (Health Visiting and School Nursing).
