Module Aims

The overall aim of this module is to enable the learner to engage in critical reflection of their learning through their work experience

Content Summary

The student will be required to reflect on their role in relation to the context of the workplace and the expected professional practice at a level appropriate to the learner.

This module will facilitate the development of Personal Development Planning (PDP) through the delivery of the key skills identified in the module descriptor.

There will be five days of direct contact delivery.

The content of these days will cover:

COSHH – Work Regulations: noise, vibration, solvents, fumes, dusts, biologic agents and other substances hazardous to health.

Introduction to Occupational Hygiene and principles LEV, HAVS, Principles of skin disease, Spirometry, Audiometry, Occupational respiratory disease and Ergonomics.
