Module Aims

This module enables students to carry out a range of practical conservation tasks such as fencing, hedge-laying and dry-stone walling. Students will be required to undertake individual and group practical projects to develop skills.

Content Summary

Practical skills: groundwork, woodworking, habitat management techniques, tool maintenance and care

Safe working practices: Personal protective equipment, risk assessment, legislation, first aid.

Design and plan: Task planning, design, materials and cost
