Module Aims

The module enables students to produce a substantial piece of research output on a topic of their choice relevant to either finance and investment or forensic audit and accounting.

Content Summary

Production of a Dissertation, under the supervision of the module team. Research Methods training will also be provided, which will include indicative content as follows:  

Introduction to research output, selecting a topic, conducting a literature review. Choosing and implementing a suitable methodology, whether using primary or secondary data and conducting qualitative or quantitative analyses. How to write up the research output in a suitable format and how to defend the research. This content will be taught alongside students completing the dissertation so they immediately put the theory into practice.
