Module Aims

To advance students understanding of the sports science principles that underpin coaching practice and to apply coaching skills in practice in a range of contexts.

Content Summary

The module will build on the theoretical knowledge and practical skills taught within the level 4 coaching modules. Teaching in this module will continue to use both theoretical and practical learning mediums to enhance students coaching knowledge and practical skills delivery. As a result, the students will be expected to use their advanced knowledge and coaching skills to plan and deliver practical sports sessions to a wide range of specific populations.
