Module Aims

This module aims to give students a detailed understanding of EU and UK Health and Safety legislation as it applies to health and safety management.

This module will give students a detailed understanding of the requirements of effective Health & Safety management systems.

Content Summary

EU and UK Health policy. Key EU and UK legislation and UK Regulations. Methods of enforcement.
Policy, organisation and arrangements.

Committees and Health and Safety representatives.

Risk management systems HSG65 - Successful health and safety management and ISO 45001:2018 - Occupational health and safety management systems.

Human factors - the organisation, job, personal factors, quantitative techniques for analysis of human errors. Accident data analysis and investigation
