Module Aims

The module aims to develop a critical awareness of the processes required to manage commercial and community buildings.

Students will gain critical awareness of integrating the complete range of processes required to manage commercial and community buildings.

Content Summary

The management and maintenance of buildings is a significant workstream in the UK economy.

This module introduces the students to principles involved in the management of commercial domestic covering legislation, safety in surveying, and the various different types of surveying.

Students are introduced to common defects associated with maintenance and refurbishment of buildings.
