Module Aims

To extend the understanding of the technique of measurement (from drawn information) and its application into Bills of Quantities as used by various members of the Project Team.

Provide students with greater understanding of different constructional techniques.

Content Summary

Introduction to domestic and more complex constructional structures i.e., mostly non-domestic building types.

Areas to include: simple/complex foundations (deep basements) structural steelwork, advanced brickwork including ornate/feature brickwork, roadways and pavements, and finishings.
