Module Aims

To Broaden and deepen students’ understanding of work based approaches to practical application of tasks and research appropriate to their work situation and subject of study. To give students an insight into the landbased employment sector

Develop skills in critical and analytical thinking, and a professional approach to project planning and management

Content Summary

This module provides the opportunity for students to synthesize their learning from throughout the course and to extend it further through work experience in order to produce a portfolio of work that demonstrates their ability to work competently and successfully within the industry.

Implicit within this module is an expectation of the student to complete 160 hours in the workplace, and to learn from the process of working professionally within the industry. To aid this learning process students will be expected to reflect on their experience of work, and to compare experiences of the work place with other learners.
