Module Aims

To demonstrate the application of the theoretical and practical knowledge of the technologies associated with building basic (non-networked) mobile applications.

To develop skills to design, implement, test and critically evaluate such technologies and mobile applications.

Content Summary

Understanding of the design considerations that go into developing a mobile application

Evaluate different mobile operating systems: structures, functionality, interfaces, peripheral I/O, file systems, databases, non-networked applications,?networked?applications and security.

A theoretical and practical insight into mobile application development: languages, development tools and the use of development tools to design and implement robust non-networked mobile applications.
