Module Aims

This module aims to develop critical awareness of different theoretical approaches to health and policy making and to promote reflective thinking around public service innovation.

Content Summary

Health policy and administration, the health policy environment and public policy, models of policy making, implementation, health policy outputs, outcomes and evaluation, innovation and re-shaping health services, intended and unintended consequences, exiting existing services, the use of behavioural economics, government promotions and other mechanisms including the use of technology to adapt and change services, critical thinking and evidence based practice.
