Module Aims
To enable students to gain meaningful experience by partaking in award related world of work and work-based learning.
Content Summary
A work-based placement will be negotiated or appraised for enrolled students. In this, as far as possible, the content of the placement will match the nature and objectives of the particular award, but will at least be relevant. The placement will cover the set of workplace skills and competencies as described in the Logbook currently used as a record of all award related placements within the department. Successful completion of the placement year will be indicated on the student’s final transcript. Students will be supported before, during and after their placement in line with the requirements of the QAA Code of Practice on Placement Learning.
