Module Aims

To provide students with the opportunity to work on short-form media briefs and cultivate a deeper understanding of their own creative identity.

Extend students’ artistic practice by developing original ideas and scripts for contemporary formats and platforms.

Content Summary

This module continues to develop the student’s own creative and artistic practice as a writer, and expands their skills of craftsmanship, by introducing them to the requirements of short form scriptwriting across platforms.

Working within the different approaches demanded by these platforms, students will be required to complete and realise narratives based on their own original ideas.

Students will be exposed to relevant theoretical and historical debates, and encouraged to apply these in the development of their own practice in the creation of relevant media proposals and scripts.
