Module Aims

The module aims to develop a student’s critical awareness of contemporary topics across coaching, leadership performance and participation in sport. Furthermore, it will allow a student to consider a range of participant populations (e.g. Grassroots, to high performance, children to adults) and develop a critical appreciation of the contribution of sociological, psychological, physical and practical concepts and their impact on sporting performance. This module adopts a problem-based approach, requiring the student to consider innovative and creative solutions to contemporary problems and issues in sport.
