Module Aims

• Reflective upon practice to develop learners’ ability to provide effective support using various strategies appropriate to individual settings.
• To develop an in-depth knowledge of skills relevant to learning theory and practice
• To identify and evaluate a range of techniques and tools for developing reflective practice.

• Consider the theory and application of reflective practice
• Reflect upon planning and delivery within practice.
• Extend the skills required for professional practice.
• Engage in a range of work based tasks which demonstrate self-evaluation and reflective techniques
• Examine approaches to learning theory and relevant Government initiatives
• Consider a range of strategies which support children’s diverse approaches to learning
• Recognise policy requirements and reflect on the impact on their practice
• Examine and undertake activities which support professional development
• Integrate reflective practice theory into work based learning
