Module Aims

To provide an opportunity for students to:
• Explore the health and well-being needs including resilience of children and young people in the educational and wider context
• Investigate factors that impact on resilience and the consequent effect on health and wellbeing of children and young people, to include the role of the adult (comprising families and other professionals/organisations).
• Examine current policy frameworks for children both nationally and Welsh Government initiatives

• Attachment theory
• Emotional Intelligence
• Physical Literacy
• A multi-disciplinary approach in supporting health, wellbeing and resilient moves.

• Range of current initiatives and impact on practice
• Students will explore how children and young people’s health and wellbeing can be influenced by family and socio-economic factors/status.
