Module Aims

1. To enhance professional practice and understanding by listening to, transcribing and analysing spoken language, and by analysing written language.

2. To critically explore social and cultural factors in language use and acquisition, and to evaluate this in relation to own experiences of language learning and teaching, and developing professional practice.

3. To critically explore contemporary theories and principles of second language acquisition and evaluate in relation to own experiences of language learning and teaching, and developing professional practice.
