To describe and critically analyse socially situated literacies in educational and other contexts

To use discourse, social semiotic and other language analysis tools and perspectives to deepen critical awareness and understanding of texts

To develop critical and reflective practices in designing and resourcing effective literacy and communication learning activities

To demonstrate an in-depth and critical understanding of current national and international research and literature in relation to literacy and language teaching and learning
