Module Aims

The module aims are:

• The aim of this module is to develop reflective practice among learners, which can be used to enhance the effectiveness of their contribution to the workplace.
• The module will develop independent, student centred learning based on their experience of the workplace.

Content Summary

Students will be required to apply theoretical aspects of their study to the workplace, thus allowing them the opportunity to fully integrate academic study with meaningful work practice. The learning experience of the workplace and own management style will be reflected upon critically and the learner will explore the expected professional practice of honours level learners. The emphasis of this module will be on developing leadership skills as students will be expected to lead teams and perform duty management functions as a part of WBL activity. Students will analyse various leadership styles employed and their effectiveness in relation with key theories.
