To enable students to develop their understanding of English/Welsh Legislation and how it informs policy in relation to public health, community health and wellbeing and health and social care management.
Content Summary
This module will introduce the following topics:
Introduction to Principles of Ethics.
Introduction to how Laws are made i.e. Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014, Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015
Definition of key terms e.g. strategy, policy, procedures and guidance
Legislations influence upon policy development and the policymaking process
Society’s influence on legislation and legislation’s influence on society
