Module Aims

Produce sophisticated work which demonstrates the effective manipulation of sound, image and/or the written word.

Demonstrate a deeper understanding of and ability to produce video and pictures reflecting sporting events and achievements.

Content Summary

The module will allow the student to further explore key principles of the current practices of photojournalism related to sport, underpinned by a series of key lectures on the history of and current practices of photojournalism within the area of sports reporting. The module will include a strong element of practical workshops.

The importance of contacts and developing relationships with players, press and communications teams in order to enhance their learning and portfolio development on this module and build their reputation as sports journalists.
