Module Aims
• Critically examine a substantive area of research evidence through a process of an analysis of research/evidence impacting on an area of potential practice development.
• Critically appraise and utilise various types of evidence utilised in practice and add to the existing body of knowledge
• Develop and enhance their practice and leadership ability
Content Summary
Tutor led and student led workshops focussing on common themes and developments appropriate to the areas of practice being studied. Students will be required to formally present their work at least once to their peer group. Post presentation discussion and debate will be facilitated. Sessions will be negotiated but normally be organised at monthly intervals throughout the academic year.
Students will be encouraged to form a peer support group.
Independent time will be used for the exploration of relevant practice based issues and the development and application of theory to, and theory in, practice
