Module Aims

To enable learners to develop their practical and employability skills for the landbased sector, through engagement in work related activities.

Content Summary

Students will undertake a minimum of 70 hours of documented work experience with a relevant organisation or multiple relevant organisations (as appropriate). Students may also accredit suitable recent work experience that they have already undertaken (provided that experience has not been already been used for any other course or module) by completing the assessment of the module based on that experience.

Employment skills

e.g. CV writing, professional portfolios, client testimonials, researching opportunities, covering letters, interview techniques, networking, maintaining a professional online presence, entrepreneurship and business sustainability.

Professional practice

e.g. skills auditing, self-reflection, communication skills (written and oral), workplace relationships, team building.
