Module Aims

1 .Demonstrate an understanding of the skills involved in animal handling and restraint.

2. Critically review and analyse current environmental enrichment techniques used in zoos.

Content Summary

This module will provide learners with an understanding of the principles of animal husbandry, allowing them opportunity to apply these practically. Demonstrating handling techniques according to industry guidelines and researching enrichment as an attempt to ameliorate problems caused by containment.
