Module Aims

To develop a critical understanding of the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the stomach

Content Summary

This module aims to develop an understanding of stomach disorders. The students would first learn about gastric anatomy and physiology. This would assist in their understanding of the various diagnostic tests and procedures used to diagnose confirm gastric disorders. In this module we will also cover gastroscopy. A wide variety of disorders seen in a busy practice are covered in the module, including peptic ulcer disease, Helicobacter pylori, Gastric cancer and Pernicious Anaemia.
