A critical assessment of psychopathology in children and young people will form a central part of this module; including evaluation of approaches to diagnosis and assessment; critical evaluation of childhood disorders and their aetiology, diagnosis and treatment. Evaluation of principles and efficacy of different therapeutic approaches will also be addressed in this module; with particular focus being given to a more in-depth exploration of those covered at Level 4 (e.g. applied behaviour analysis, the creative therapies and cognitive behavioural therapy).
