Module Aims

To extend students’ knowledge related to research methodology, statistics and ethics and to facilitate their ability to critically assess the efficacy of different approaches.

Content Summary

This module will typically cover the difference between qualitative and quantitative methods, techniques for qualitative analysis such as IPA and narrative analysis, and quantitative analyses such as ANOVA and multiple regression. Towards the end of the module an emphasis will be placed on critically evaluating ethical issues relating to psychological research, and suggesting actions to resolve ethical problems.
