Module Aims

To position therapeutic principles in social and psychopathological contexts.

Content Summary

Students will develop a critical approach to a range of mental ill-health and psychopathological problems, prevalent in our society today. These may include (but are not necessarily limited to) depression, anxiety, mental/emotional stress, sexual abuse, drug and alcohol misuse. Students will be encouraged to critically evaluate these from the therapeutic perspectives already learned, together with those of the medical model
