Module Aims

 This module includes an immersive element'

Provide the student with preparation for career management and support with future endeavours.

To advise and help students articulate their personal goals and evaluate progress towards their future achievements.

Give students an opportunity to develop a network of professional contacts.

To further develop students’ confidence along with portfolio preparation, presentation skills, job applications, business start-ups and further study.

To encourage a positive attitude to lifelong learning within the uncertainty and excitement of a fast-moving discipline.

Content Summary

The student should develop a personal strategy towards finding employment within their chosen field or further study and consider how they can promote and market themselves in a professional manner.

Opportunities to strengthen links with the University’s employability service and to apply for work placements, internships and create business set ups.

Emphasis is placed strongly on the student’s ability to become a self-directed professional.

Students are encouraged to investigate a wider knowledge of the opportunities that exist within the games sector and connected industries.
