Module Aims

To provide students with a sound basis of knowledge in the fundamentals, language and application of motion and time based theory and practice

Introduce students to the principles of effective idea generation and conceptualisation techniques within the motion graphics design process

Enable students to generate new and exciting ways of generating ideas using a wide range of media

Content Summary

Historical overview of the development of motion design and visual languages. The Design Processes: Research, Conceptualisation, Development and Realisation of design solutions. Visualising and digital rendering techniques appropriate to moving image.

This module contains a six-week immersive learning element which gives an overview of the work possible throughout the duration of the year.

Group working skills are an essential part of the production process.

Students will be expected to present their work at the end of the 6 week period.
