Module Aims
To develop an understanding of creative graphic communication design process in designing for moving images.
To develop student’s skills in originating planning and producing original and innovative motion designs for use in television and Film.
Content Summary
Film and television Design: History and development. Technology milestones. Changing methods of on- screen presentation using Image and Typography.
Overview: Channel idents, Title sequences, bumpers & stings. Defining the brief. Idea generation. Selection and storyboarding of concepts using appropriate media.\\u2028Input of elements to sequence: Scanning, digital camera, Generation of 3D design, desktop video capture and editing (Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects).
Composting and timing of element: synchronising elements for output. Output/Rendering: Format resolution and context.
