Module Aims

This module will build upon theories and context introduced at level 4 and further developed at level 5. The aims are:

To enable the student to undertake a research project in a subject negotiated with the Module Leader/TeamTo build upon critical, analytical and evaluative skills developed in years 1 and 2.To present their findings in written form.To develop organisational and time management skills.

Content from the perspective of visual effects and motion graphics:

1. Developing an enquiry suitable for dissertation.

2. Developing research skills appropriate to individual enquiries.

3. Overview of formal academic dissertation/report formatting.

4. Discussion and evaluation of previous examples and key works.

5. A series of individual tutorials to support study.
