Module Aims

To give the student knowledge and understanding of the implication of human factors in the aircraft maintenance industry.

Content Summary

This module will be looking at the factors affecting human performance limitations involved in aircraft maintenance tasks. This will include the environmental hazards and working conditions that employees are subjected too.

It will also look at social psychology, taking into account peer pressure, culture and shift-working.

Other areas to consider are communication methods and their limitations, safety management, risk analysis and management techniques.

From a management perception it will look at responsibility and accountability and managing highly skilled employees.

An introduction to employment law and health & safety legislation.
