Module Aims

Students develop knowledge of the neurological structures and underlying mechanisms along with the gross anatomy of the head and neck.

Students gain an understanding of prevalent neurological disorders of the central, autonomic, and peripheral nervous systems and acquire the necessary diagnostic skills to perform and critically analyse a neurological examination.

Content Summary

The module will cover the basic clinically based knowledge of head and neck anatomy as well as neuroanatomical structure. Building on this knowledge gain an understanding of the aetiology, disease mechanisms and diagnostic criteria necessary to perform an in-depth neurological examination.
