Module Aims

 This module aims to introduce understanding of the various methodologies and practice of quantitative and qualitative research specifically with relevance to chiropractic including statistics and associated ethics and governance. 

Develop analysis and critical appraisal skills 

Content Summary

Research methodology and critical appraisal of a broad range of quantitative and qualitative research articles 

Introduction into designing a research project 

Ethical considerations and procedures 

Interpretation of research data including the relevance of meta-analysis and systematic review (Forest plot interpretation) 

Quantitative Statistics (Descriptives, Normality, Parametric and non-parametric statistical tests, power calculations and sample size, regression models, reliability)
