Module Aims

1.To consolidate prior learning and apply

this knowledge to more complex use

of software and design, allowing them

to develop advanced skills within

their chosen specialist field;

To increase students’ ability to develop suitable visual content within their chosen field.

Content Summary

The module will further develop the students’ practical skills in all aspects of the Animation pipeline from Concept , Character design , Storyboarding, Animation, Editing, and software necessary for Animation pre production and production. The students will develop their enhanced creative & technical skills through producing either short concept based design projects or pre production and production for a short 1 minute film , for either a live client or their own short narrative piece. This module is designed to produce work utilising advanced techniques in animation production and implementing advanced software skills utilsing core skills gained from previous modules ...

Both 2D and stop motion students will also work collaboratively across concept strands and other animation projects across both 2D and Stop Motion, producing animation, concept, storyboarding, animated assets props, set design and character design for production. Students can work both individually or in small groups of 2 – 3.
