Module Aims

The module aims to develop the student to pursue research or study with an advanced level of theoretical analysis and applied relevance

A to critically research and synthesis, a contemporary issue within the security and risk environment.

Content Summary

Dependent on Student research interests.

Students will be encouraged to choose a topic related to their professional or work experience and/or relevant for their future development, acquiringe the skills that will enable them to marshal and disseminate evidence for a strongly themed dissertation of a substantial length. They will gain expertise in handling secondary sources and a limited amount of primary sources and be able to make appropriate judgements about such evidence. Students will be required to submit a full research plan.

Students will be encouraged to choose a topic related to their professional or work experience and/or relevant for their future development.

An ability to manipulate concepts and information in this area in an advanced analytical fashion.
