Module Aims

The aim of the module is to enable participants to explore and develop the quality of the student experience and student learning in the context of practice, and to critically examine their role in effectively supporting learning and enhancing the learning experience.

Content Summary

The module will critically explore the:

  • Approaches to evaluating, assuring, and enhancing the quality of the learner experience.

  • Designing and implementing initiatives to support and enhance learning and assessment within the context of practice.

  • Educational and context specific theoretical and research evidence to inform effective facilitation of learning and assessment practices.

  • Use of a range of contextually relevant methods to analyse issues in educational practice which merit further investigation and research.

  • Integration of scholarship, research, and professional activities to enhance learning and the quality of the learning environment.

  • Critical reflection on the role of the educational assessor in quality enhancement and the development of resources to support learning.

  • Leading and supporting of teams to enhance the quality of the learning environment and learner experience.
