Module Aims

To develop students’ ability to assess the role of environmental events on behaviour.

To enable students to identify and prioritise behavioural targets.

Content Summary

This module will teach a range of behavioural assessment methods, including preference assessment, reinforcement assessment, indirect assessment, descriptive assessment, structural analysis, and functional analysis. Students will learn the features and rationale for each method, as well as how to organise and interpret the data derived from each method. Students also will learn how to assess the need for behavioural services and how to assess considerations in prioritising behavioural targets.
