Module Aims

To develop students’ ability to select appropriate interventions to promote positive behaviour change in different contexts.

Content Summary

This module will explore the range of behaviour acquisition and behaviour deceleration strategies for helping clients achieve positive outcomes (e.g., differential reinforcement, antecedent strategies, extinction). Students will learn how to consider behaviour assessments and environmental constraints on the selection of interventions, and how to implement those interventions with integrity and in accordance with ethical guidelines.
