Module Aims

To introduce a range of visualising methods relevant to Film and Television Art Departments.

To investigate a range of techniques through application for visualising concepts and rendering.

To introduce students to observational perspective, storyboarding, Google Sketchup and Photoshop.

To understand the context for producing visuals and concept art work in film and TV

Content Summary

Students will be introduced to the purpose of producing concept visuals in film and TV.

The principles of perspective will be covered to underpin the visualising process.

Students will be given the opportunity to produce visuals/ concept drawing through manual and digital methods.

Google Sketchup will be used to develop designs, to then render using manual techniques and Photoshop.

A practical understanding of Storyboarding will be realised.
