Module Aims

To enable students to design for a range of industry ready briefs which reflect contemporary television production.

To provide students with an opportunity to generate production design schemes which reflect current industry awareness of design, lighting technology and scenic construction techniques and finishes.

Content Summary

Students will have the opportunity to design for non drama multi camera productions.

The briefs will reflect themes in current television production around the area of light entertainment. Students will need to research current mainstream television and contemporary production design trends.

A thorough analysis of construction techniques and materials suitable for this genre will be necessary.

On completing this module students will be confident in their approach to research and reflect on contemporary television, and current methods of high end light entertainment design.
