Module Aims

To provide a firm foundation in broadcast skills for students embarking on the Journalism degree. To introduce students to the conventions of broadcast journalism (audio/radio and video/TV)

To provide students with an introduction to the practical skills required of journalists in a news broadcasting.

Content Summary

1. Introduction to the different publishing/broadcasting platforms

2. Basic audio and video recording

3. Basic digital still photography

4. Basic page make-up for print & web publication

5. Basic video news reports & packages

6. Basic audio news reports and packages
