Module Aims
To facilitate a systematic, critical understanding of global business environment.
To enhance students’ ability to critically analyse emerging themes in international business and to link theory with business practice
To explore the diverse environments that firms face globally, as well as the internationalized markets for products, services, labour, and information.
To evaluate a number of issues related to international business management, including international trading, cross cultural management, innovation, risk and CSR.
Content Summary
The module will include themes and topics related to:
- Changing trends in the global economy;
- The role of major actors in the growth of multi-lateral economics and trade;
- Globalization and localization;
- Understanding the role of culture;
- Cross-cultural negotiation and decision making;
- Formulating strategy for international and global operations;
- International human resource management;
- The role of innovation in the international business;
- Corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
