Module Aims

1. to engage students with scholarship on Buddhist Ethics, Mind training, Philosophy in both theory and practice across a number of different cultures.

2. to develop students’ critical skills with regard to the textual study of Buddhism.

Content Summary

This module is only intended for students who need to retake a 30 credit module but who have transitioned to the new course, or those rejoining the course and bringing with them credits which are not divisible by 20. It can be appended to one of the optional 20 credit modules in order to make 30 credits in that particular subject (Ethics, Meditation and Psychology, Philosophy or Pali Language). As such, the course content will draw on the content from other relevant modules, with reading extended further.
