Module Aims
Support the student to manage all aspects of a creative illustration project through undertaking professional competition submissions.
Apply understanding and knowledge of the professional context of creative practice as appropriate to Illustration to a given creative brief.
Encourage an awareness of the employment market and to understand the professional context of a range of potential employment opportunities.
Content Summary
This module provides the opportunity for students to undertake specialist creative projects in order to apply their knowledge, skills and understanding in a professional and public context by responding to industry developed competition briefs. Students will further develop their professional awareness by responding to projects that explore subjects within a national or international context, and by responding to the demands of working to professional levels of expectation.
Students will be expected to apply a number of the transferable skills they have developed during the course such as time management, communication and interpersonal skills in order to produce work to specific schedules and deadlines and within defined budgets.
A combination of lectures, seminars and project supervision will allow progression through this module.
