Module Aims

To enable the student to make an effective transition to professional registration

Content Summary

The content of this module will be applied across all four fields of practice. The module will explore the following themes:

Evidencing standards of The Code (NMC 2018)

Accountability: levels of knowledge, skill, performance and professionalism

Being prescriber ready, the implications of safe and effective management of medicines related to fields of practice.

Upholding the principles of lifelong learning and development of critical reflective practice

Transition to registration

Critical reflection on personal achievement and future development

Understanding the key principles of level 6 and requirements for Part 3 of the Practice assessment document

Preparation for In-point assessment 3: Supervising and supporting learning in the context of field of practice

Preparation for In-point assessment 4: Leading, managing and co-ordinating care in the context of practice.

Consolidation of communication and relationship management skills

Consolidation of nursing procedural skills as outlined in Annex B
